This is a film that demands respect, it is art to be appreciated. I won't recommend this film to anyone without patience nor an open mind. If you're a fan of Aronofsky's controversial works, then you'd love his new film.
The Beguiled was such a beautiful nightmare, the macabre fairy tale I never knew I needed. Thank you Sofia Coppola!
The cast was phenomenal in this film that deals with lust, envy and a whole lot of passion. Nearly experimental and definitely enigmatic, those who generally dislike indie films with no clear direction might not appreciate this.
Lost in Translation is for those who have the patience for indie films that focus more on character development than on a driving plot with an obvious direction. Your heart would all warm and toasty by the end of this …
Blue Is the Warmest Colour transported me into its world and I couldn't separate myself from it even long after the film was over. It's the kind of sad, heartfelt, romance film to watch alone on a rainy day.
If you have the patience for art cinema, or if you're intending to start expanding your watch-list to include more avant-garde film, I think you would find Personal Shopper a really intriguing experience.
Amour is a sensitive film that is not meant to be enjoyed but to be experienced. Despite its slow pace, I was truly affected by the end of the film. This is one to remember.
